Cornbow celebrates the natural beauty of Halesowen with photography competition

Shoppers, visitors and residents of Halesowen are being urged to get creative in the Cornbow shopping centre’s photography competition.

Throughout the redevelopment work, the Cornbow has encouraged the residents of Halesowen to grab their cameras and capture what they believe represents the beauty and the essence of the town.

Mrs Robina Cox, of Halesowen, is the fourth talented photographer to receive a £20 Argos voucher since the competition began in June last year with this stunning shot.

On receiving her prize from acting centre manager, Amanda Hodgetts, Mrs Cox said:

“I took this shot back in mid-May and always like looking at it when the weather is bad to remind me of sunny times.

“I saw the competition in the newsletter and thought there would be no harm in entering – other people can enjoy the photograph as well.  I never expected to win though.  It was a complete surprise.”

If you fancy getting out and about with your camera, or already have a photo worthy of winning the Cornbow photography competition, post or drop your shots into:

Centre Manager’s Office,

Cornbow,

Queensway Mall,

Queensway,

Halesowen,

The competition runs until November 2008.
